CHANGE MANAGEMENT

“It isn’t the changes that do you in, it’s the transitions.” William Bridges

Transition is the psychological process people go through to come to terms with the new situation. Managing such change is an art form and it can be a difficult and stressful time. I help my clients work with the practicalities of managing their change project and appreciate this isn’t a trip from one side of the street to the other. It’s a journey from one identity to another and their role is to lead that journey.

You are most likely already clear about the need for change in your organisation. Now, you’re facing the possibility of restructuring teams and closing posts. Will it mean redundancies, or can people be offered alternative positions? The negotiating and consulting, keeping people informed when you’ve yet to finalise the plan, is often not easy. My experience in designing and delivering interventions can make all the difference. You will gain the skills to recognise the different phases of transition and confidently allow people time to value what is ending and appreciate the new beginning.
